Who am I writing for?
Startup Diaries is a collection of essays about being on the frontlines of early-stage companies. Most newsletters focus on tactics. I like to dig into the nuances of what it’s actually like working at startups: the ups and downs and everything in between.
These are the lessons and insights I wish I had known earlier on in my career.
If any of the following statements resonate, I’m writing for you:
You’re curious about startups: “Would this be a good fit?”
You just joined a startup: “Is X or Y normal?”
You’re a startup veteran: “Does anyone else feel this way?”
About me
I’m Jenny Na and I love the early stages of building a company. Most formerly, I was an early employee at Notion, where I spent the last four years as the company grew from around 20 to over 500 employees. During my time there, I founded and scaled the Notion for Startups program with the mission of getting Notion in the hands of as many founders as possible (fun fact: over 80% of YC companies use Notion!).
I started this newsletter to document the many learnings and stories that make this crazy journey worth it. All views are my own.
